Now that pally fear works on more mobs …
I found this out…
You can fear a mob into the Shade of Aran’s chamber and agro him. We stared in shock as he popped through the door.
Eventually he reset.
But still….
Let the big kids handle the fearing.
Thanks.
Somewhere along the way I discovered The Guild episodes. They are sooOOOooo funny. The characters and production are great.
My favorite moment:
“So an epic dagger dropped for me today”
…
Of course you have to check out the other things on The Guild website. This led me to the Producer Kim Evey’s series 2 Hot Girls in the Shower. (Warning: May not be appropriate for work…but if you didn’t get that from the title you’re dumb. I am just saying.) I laughed so hard I had to take a break.
… Normally I click on youtube’s “Related Videos” in this case I was scared.
I told my guilds, I told the Horde, I told my friends but I didn’t care if anyone else showed up. I was too excited to be there myself. Hydrargyrum the level 1 Tauren on Cenarion Circle realm arrived about an hour early. What a sight to be seen. There was a walking conga line of purple shirted Tauren.
Once I joined the RODB channel I was immediately greeted by Ratter, which made me even more excited about being there.
Of course I immediately asked if there was still a purple shirt left. The charmer said he saved one just for me. *blush* He must say that to all the girls.
While looking around I found the back of someone who looked a bit familiar.
It was quickly time to start. When Husband asked me where I was I just let him know I was the level 1 Tauren in the purple shirt…
We ran past Orgrimmar fairly quickly. Some runners were taken down.
But my favorite had to be the Zeppelin tower. Seeing that sea of purple shirts funnel into the tower.
All I could think of was “How many Tauren can you fit into a Zeppelin?”
It then turned badly for me. I died and was separated form the herd. A spider in Hillsbrad Foothills got me. I have to say that getting a message from Ratter lifted my spirit.
Bahahaha *clears throat*
Anywho…
I never made it to Hammerfall. I kept dieing. Husband passed me at this point and look who he saw…
Luckily I had roving reporters that gave me front line news to report and pictures attached.
The herd quickly turned to other endeavors… like going to Ironforge and Stormwind to go kill Hogger.
But the first step was getting to Ironforge. Many were not so lucky.
I didn’t make it to Ironforge. But I did get a chance to get a glimpse of another Brk.
Husband made it to the Tram! I wonder what that Draenei was thinking seeing all the Tauren around.
It was a great time. The shear awesomeness of all the people who participated made this fun. I was glad to share it with so many friends.

First I would like to start… Hydra doesn’t PvP… you want real information go here who will lead you to others…okay got that out of the way.
So here we go…
Please STOP complaining to me about the state of level 70 Emberstorm Alliance BG.
No resilience? Then don’t come to me and complain that you lose and … yada yada the S3 Horde yada… particularly in BG chat.
Complaints mean you are not thinking strategically and calmly. Sometimes a well loss battle is just as satisfying as a win. So suck it up and reevaluate why you are here… for “fun” remember and so is everyone else.
The 2.4 Battlegear starts you on the resilience you need to PvP at level 70. It costs very little to purchase. So if bought you can have a starting PvP set for under 70G. I was finding resilience/stamina gems on my server for under 15G. Slap in some gems and get some appropriate enchants you are now good to go.
I have spent more than that on my level 19 twink pants. Cough up the gold!
If you cannot BUY gear, socket, and enchant gear for a little PvP. Go whine someplace else.
Wait… scratch that…
Go spend a queue plus the game time to farm for the gold and buy, socket, and enchant some PvP gear.
And YOU with the Season 2 & 3 PvP gear standing next to me in EotS… ugg …. Share the knowledge. Yea I read the strategies. Yea I know where I am going. Hell if I have the confidence that the guy over there has any idea how to play. But if you tell me “group 2 goes to Fel Reaver” and I am in group 2, I will not argue. If we are guarding, explain what you are seeing, this will help me to see it next time.
Those with the PvP gear should also inspect the gear next to them. Did you tell them nicely that the 2.4 Battlegear is out? Did you tell them to stick to you? *shrug* If they don’t listen who cares, but what if they DO? What if that person is new to WoW and didn’t know the word “resilience” had anything to do with PvP or even WoW.
As for my dabbling into 2v2s…
I scraped out 217 resilience pre-2.4 PvP gear. We were able to get our 2v2 ranking above 1500 for the first time this week.
I decided to pick up the 2.4 chest, hood, and leggings to practice what I am preaching here. My resilience increased to 303. Granted I haven’t finished socketing gems but enough to mess around in.
My spell damage dropped a lot but if I can out last the other team we do better.
Enough to not be a complete push over.
*inhale*
*exhale*
…
… …
Hydra doesn’t PvP.
Welcome friends.
I have a secret that I have been keeping form you for quite a while. You may or may not know that I, Aurum, am an officer in Farstriders Elite. The co-guild leader will be absent for a while, he asked ME to be his replacement. I don’t think I am up to the job, I still have a lot to learn.
FE is a guild with over 150 accounts and over 220 toons. Not all are twinks, we have toons in guild who are friends on other servers that pop in to say “Hi. Good game”.
This is a twink guild of good players. Some have transferred from different servers. They are located across the states and international (we need more on Vent from England and New Zealand IMO.)
We are known mostly for running level 19s, but are growing in the level 29 bracket, and have recruited some strong 39s.
But where do you find information on “How to run a Twink Guild?” You don’t. I have looked up and down and really we are in a unique situation here.
In the Emberstorm battlegroup, there is WKP where it is run like a Stalinistic Regime, DTK view themselves like a family, and JoAT seems to be more like a business. Where does FE stand… by committee of equals.
With the number of players we have, no one person can see everything. So officers will meet and a name will pop up and all the stories come out of the woodwork. My favorite line in a meeting is always “I don’t know why but TwinkName leaves a bad feeling.” Where we all dig up stories about TwinkName and we assess if they are removed from the guild.
Our gear standards are extremely high. This part I am having a really hard time with in general. Your first twink is a hard thing to do. Many settle for second best. It is also not cheep.
The issue is that FE is not “second best” it expects THE BEST.
*checks in bags for PvP gear*
So a 19 hunter with 4/5 Eagle pants and not the 5/5 Eagles will have a ding against them. They have to explain the 5/5s are in bank and are saving up for the Nethercleft Leg Armor. Don’t get the others started if you show up in Blackened Defias Leggings. *shiver*
*pulls out blades and sharpens them for battle*
So I am making mistakes and learning from them.
*charges into mid-field to test her newly sharpen blades*
Maybe if I am not too embarrassed by my mistakes I will share them with you.
*caps one flag*
… maybe.
*returns two flags*
But remember I am just a well geared bank toon.
*wipes the blood off her cheek*
Saw someone quoting this in their signature on the forum:
Warlocks are the only class in the game that hold the mentality that if they're low on health, they should start a fight.
I do this all the time!!!
The only thing that makes me pause before a fight is if my minion is dead or not.
But group members can replace my minion. This always leads me to the thought of being able to Dark Pact the mana of the Mages, Hunters, and Pallies around me.
*dreamy eyes* I can wish.
What SSC looks like before we start ...
What it look like after we have been fishing for a while…
Husband showed up with his newly enchanted fist weapon. I don’t see any Spell Damage. I was not all that impressed. I did make the appropriate cooing noises.
Note to everyone: Jumping on the down elevator makes it go faster. Jumping on the up elevator will make it go slower. Just try it you will see what I am saying.
Then we got down to business on Lurker. Running around in circles. Dieing together. Running back. Modify stuff. Dieing again. Changing some things up. More dieing.
It goes out…
“This is the last attempt”
We have dead fish.
Way to go WM!!
A tank picked up the Mallet of the Tides. Something that we sharded also dropped. I took The Seal of Danzalar because no one else wanted it. It was going to be sharded if I didn't. It has 21 resilience rating. Which is better then the zero my current rings I use for PvP have. *grin* So there goes my slowly building DKP.
It was a pretty clean first kill.
We are so getting spoiled with all these bosses down. I did hear something that made me happy. We are going to start FARMING these new bosses. This is a relief to me because I will then not feel like I have to attend them all. I don’t need to be, no one has said that, but having a completely different group each attempt to down a boss can be a real setback.
So bring on the farming!
P.S. Wowjutsu says that WM is 5th on our server now. But as a guild we have not taken down Leo and Tidewalker. I am sure that will be true soon. *glee*
Mom would tell the two of us. (Thought of this when BBBB
brought up Dr. Demento.)
I was in Color Guard in High School so Friday night football games were normal. I loved them because that was where I would tutor math and get my calculus homework done. (And my parents didn’t think I would graduate form HS *shrug* go figure.)
So we would get home about 10 pm at night and that is when Dr. Demento would play his top five. Mom would take my sleeping little sister into the house. Dad and I would sit in the car and listen to the radio. We would sing along with Fish Heads, Time Warp, and our all time favorite The Scotsman (found WoW versions). I cherish those memories.
<3
On another football note… those four years of going to football games I really never watched. Husband and I went out one night with a teacher friend and his wife. We started our night of games and chatting when he used a phrase I didn’t understand…
“Don’t take points off the board”
This started me on a “What’s that?” train of questioning.
He would start describing something and say “3rd of 4”
“What’s that?”
bla bla downs bla bla
“What’s that?”
Well bla penalty bla bla
“What’s that?”
This went on for a bout an hour. He even pulled out scratch paper and drew pictures for me.
It stopped when I asked “Why is it called a Safety?”
After all that…
The only thing I know is the reference has something to do with football.
He tried.
Cool for him! And look - it's teh Diet Coke of Evil riding with him. read more
