Aurum’s Unfinished Business

As a December gift to myself I bought a Shadowfang and slapped on +15 agility.

I realized something…

I am an old twink. Out of date. Should be put out to pasture. Scraped for parts…

Start saying to the new whippersnapper twinks “In my day when you went ramp in WSG you had to go UP hill BOTH ways.”

No? I don’t look any older than level 19 you say? *blush*

Well then my gear needs to be upgraded.

The bracket has gotten tighter in the last year of play. February will be my Twink anniversary. At the time I enchantend what I could and then never upgraded. I didn’t see the need too.

With the changes in 2.3 for the Serpent's Shoulders it makes it a definite upgrade. Hydra has figured out a way to go for the Blackened Defias Armor with minimal to no experience. If another Cruel Barb should drop, I will not cry over it.

Unbuffed that sits me at 1261 health, 26.77% Crit Chance, and 45.72% dodge rating.

Not bad for a bank character but average for a Twink.

I want variety so I have come up with a working list of gear. These items will be with me and swapped out depending on opponents and my role in the battleground.

Working Towards:

Green Tinted Goggles (+100 HP)

Serpent's Shoulders

Blackened Defias Armor (+100 Health)

Scouting Gloves of the Monkey (+15 Agility)

Scouting Trousers of the Monkey (+40 Stamina and +12 Agility)

Alliance Battle Standard

Assassin's Blade (+15 Strength)

Cruel Barb (+15 Strength)

And if I get nutty/lucky:

Lucky Fishing Hat (+8 Agility)

Nat Pagle's Extreme Anglin' Boots (Boar’s Speed or thinking about Cat's Swiftness)

Scouting Trousers of the Monkey (+50 Attack Power and +12 Critical Strike Rating)

The above options will move me from an Agility Rogue only to … well one with more variety. Maybe I might just reduce the flag running and concentrate on Horde killing. These options will keep my opponents guessing my role.

I am still less then half my experience into level 19. I want to keep it that way as much as possible. Being protective of that blue bar enabled me to have the options for the above upgrades.

I have only gone out to the Stranglethorn Fishing Extravaganza once. The only experience points I now get are from travel. I started to have real anxiety when I got experience in the fishing event. I didn’t have a plan for the above upgrades yet so I didn’t want to risk anything. I am much better now with the plan so I may just start going.

I have over 8K honor of the 15,300 needed for the Battle Standard. There is a lot of Horde killing to do and good friends and foes to do it.

I need to sweet talk myself into some runs for the shoulders and Defias Armor before the next WSG Weekend.
