Isle of Quel’Danas Hide ‘n Seek
I avoided Isle of Quel'Danas ALL day yesterday.
I tried desperately to NOT go. I occupied myself with the new fishing and gathering quests.
[G] Anyone up for the new 5-man?
*crickets*
[G] Just need DPS and Tank. Any takers?
[Tank] I can tank.
*crickets*
[Mage] I do DPS.
*whew* Dodged that one.
Why?
Because all day I heard…
“Are you getting disconnected?”
“Is anyone else lagging badly?”
“I just ganked Horde!”
Okay. Well the last bit sounded like fun. As for the technical difficulties those were making me worried. So very late at night Husband and friend wanted to go check it out. So with bleary eyed tiredness I tagged along.
I will describe for you my experience on the Isle of Quel'Danas. (Can also be described as “Why I am NOT an early adopter of ANYTHING.”)
Arrived at my old friend Gryth Thurden in Ironforge…
[Gryth] Didn’t expect to see you going to that new fangled elf land.
[Me] Looks like the quiet Forge is getting a lot of traffic.
[Gryth] You don’t have to tell me. *chuckles* I have know you since you were a wee one. I warn you… there are people on the Isle. Lots of PEOPLE. And I know how you hate people.
[Me] Well I seem to be going against my better judgment.
Off I went to the new Isle.
My first thoughts?
It looks a lot like the Belfland. The last time I was in Belfland I was killing them.
After landing I immediately greet
those I was sent to meet. Hoping it would end there. But no luck there, more quests to pick up. There were people everywhere. *shiver*
I went around converting the Erratic Sentrys to help around town.
[Friend] I am getting attacked by a Hunter and Rogue. They are attacking a fellow raider!
This is how it works. Someone is PvP and someone mistakenly becomes PvP also. Then others join in to help. That starts the gank fest. After a dead hunter then dead friend … I luckily have yet to experience the pleasure of the graveyard.
So I started searching for the Missing Magistrix. I don’t know why… but I rode straight.
Right though the Dawnblade Blood Knights…
As I am being shot I make a line straight for the nearest instance door. You know… to drop agro.
Need to be in a Raid Group.
Switch to raid group and dive head first into the instance.
You have discovered the Sunwell Plateau.
Ummmm… I don’t think I should be in here by myself.
Let alone confronted by a very big robot thing. So I back out.
Than nothing.
No Isle.
No elf land.
No Horde killing.
Just nothing.
I was STUCK somewhere between Isle of Quel'Danas and Sunwell Plateau.
No more Hydra.

Any chance you could get another 'lock to summon you out of there?
Me, I only managed to blunder into the five-man instance by meself. And I got out okay. But I think I'll be sticking to the new Outland dailies fer a whiles, til the crowds die down.
