ZOMG we pawnz u!
Right?
Isn’t that what all the l33t people say?
Well I don’t know how l33t I am. I still consider myself as mediocre rogue. No one will ever convince me otherwise. After this game maybe I shall upgrade myself to above average...
From my understanding Emberstorm battlegroup is typical, Horde dominates in all brackets. To top it off because of low population across all servers, Farstriders and another, the carebear RP servers, tends to skew PvP to the less than competitive side. In forums it is simply put "PvP doesn’t exist on Farstriders."
Tortheldrin is where our battlegroups PvPers reside. It is where the best Horde twink guild resides, We Kill People. I have talked of them before, early in my blogging to just yesterday. They are the best twink guild in our battlegroup and it is always a joy to see them on the other side of the field.
Compared to them we are a party bus to their swat team. We bring dresses and /dance with our Horde friends… They bring the beatings.
FE brings costumes and party favors. WKP brings power and ... oh yea... a BEATING.
We have hard earned what respect we have from We Kill People, most particularly from Epona, their guild leader. He is brutally honest in the forums and tolerates nubs with a big stick. He is eloquent in his insults and has the experience and knowledge to back them up.
Us? Well I am just glad to hang out with friends, socialize, do my banking, and kill a few Horde in-between.
This last game we challenged them AND beat them!
I am still on a high from this game.
Our 5 FE players (2 Rogues, 1 Hunter, and 2 Priests) against 6 WKPs (3 Rogues, 2 Druids, and 1 Lock)...
Did FE have the ...
Most killing blows? Noppers.
Most damage? Noppers.
Most Kills? Noppers.
Most healing? Yes.
More healing to balance how much damage we were taking? Noppers.
Most deaths? Yes!
So what happened? They were purely out played. Squeal!
We didn’t have the damage necessary to beat them in a head on confrontation. It was about getting them off the FC, protecting our healers, communication, knowing our limits, and trust in each other.
We didn’t blow our cooldowns out the gate. We used them at the most opportune time. (Except me who was so intent in the game I COMPLETELY forgot that I had an AGM. So I totally subtract a death from mine and add one to Invisible. =P)
At one point, Bringing-the-sexy-back-Rushie and I kited their ENTIRE team away from our level 11 PuG flag carrier. Our FC even made it to our roof too! That was the most fantastic thing I have ever seen. WKP team being kited by just the two of us! (But our FC didn’t have any idea how to drop it and give it to our Healer. Which is unintuitive I know... but she had over a thousand health to his I-can-be-one-shot health. Then he was. /sigh)
Diem crit healed Rushie while he was screaming “Grab the flag! I am going to die!” Instead he got to cap it.
Ulti was a flag returning beast. Timing his concussion shots like a champ.
Kaiya in the last flag return pulled off a well timed fear on the EFC. Allowing us to finish off the win.
We controlled this game by our teeth and a thin thread. Minor mistakes glaringly showed on the WKP side. We were always in position to take advantage of them, and did. So much so we hear someone was booted from the guild.
I would have thought capping one flag on WKP would be a win. But two? That is outstanding. Then…
We won.
WE won.
WE WON!
I can be humble on the forums ... but this is MY blog... so here it goes...
"WTF! ZOMG I PAWNZ U!"
*bounces around room*
"You got served by a carebear RP guild!"
*points and laughs*
"Look! See my kills for the day? That was your team! Loser!"
*Squeal*
"See those two kills right there? That is you Epona."
*grin*
"Not so bad for a bank toon."
*bounces into the sunset*
A win is a win and if we never win again *shrug* but this win was FE time to shine!

For a very long time now, coming on a year, I have been running with the same group of twinky friends. A bunch of months ago two of the twink guilds merged. I was recruited to the twink guilds before the merge, after the formation of Farstriders Elite, I was again being recruited.
As an officer of Wrathbone I wanted to stay in touch with the members and be constantly available for questions. So I fed twinks from Wrathbone to FE and they are some of the best. But I stayed put. With Hydra changing guilds and no longer an officer, that necessity was removed.
The running joke in FE was that there was a bug in the game. They kept inviting me to guild but it kept saying I was already in a guild. Not understanding they opened a ticket with Blizzard, but never received a response to the open ticket. Well in the tradition of taking forever and a day to respond to an open ticket… I am now a member of Farstriders Elite.
Oh top of suddenly becoming Elite, my first time fishing in ages and what should I get but the Lucky Fishing Hat. There are great friends that have been trying for weeks to get it and on the first outing in months it is mine. I told you I needed to get lucky. This just means it will take another year for me to get the boots.
I have also been a busy girl in WSG. I finally broke the 10 thousand lifetime kill marker. This is but a step to the total honor that I will need for my Battle Standard. I still feel like I have so much to learn yet. At 20 thousand I will see if I feel like I know more than I do now.
This weekend also held one loss. That is right just one. As our premade dwindled to Kara and AFK players we went up against We Kill People. It was like swimming upstream in a torrent of arrows and very sharp swords and daggers. We couldn’t even breathe on their healer. They played really good and focused on one of our best players, and not letting any of us move. I don’t think I have ever been concussed and gouged so much in such a short amount of time.
We have work to do in FE… I don’t know how qualified I am to do it … but with the support of the guild we will make a dent.
"All changes, even the most longed for, have their melancholy; for what we leave behind us is a part of ourselves; we must die to one life before we can enter another." ~ Anatole France
I have left my guild Wrathbone, my home since before the server move, my home since a level 1 warlock gnome in gray gear in Dun Morogh.
I have been talking to the other officers for a while and it was definitely not a surprise. They knew I applied to another guild and as my RL friends understood. It was a matter of waiting to be accepted into the new guild.
I said goodbye to all and explained a bit about what was happening and that I will still be around … then I finally typed /gquit. I never had to type /gquit before. Typing those six characters was hard to say the least.
To have no guild association for the first time ever (granted it was minutes but felt like an eternity)… blank tabard… no name above my head… It made me twitchy. I hope it will be a very long time before I have to ever experience that again.
I also believe it happened at a good time for Wrathbone. There were many changes going on. One of the newest was an influx of new players from the absorption of another small guild. With my position as an officer vacant, it allowed for officers to be restructured, welcoming one of the new members as an officer.
The split was amicable and we even ran Arcatraz after the guild change. I am still in our multiguild chat channel and I will be helping in the future. As we discussed … the only real change is the name over my head.
With feelings of excitement and nervousness I am now a member of War Machine.
In my quest to earn my battle standard, I can be found in WSG. I have my nose less in the AH and more in the field. I am not an exclusive twink, I do both PuG and premades. I have to say that premades are the most fun. The coordination of a year playing together, fitting in others, and knowing what they are going to do before they do it is outstanding.
With the long queue times for the Alliance premades we typically go into 2v2 and 3v3 skirmishes. It is fun not knowing who your teammates are going to be (Twinky friends) and surprised at the makeup (some level 13 that you can one shot). Afterwards everyone apologizes for killing each other.
I just happened to get put in with the leaders of FE. Now this was a team.
All we could hope for was that there was decent competition. Sure enough it was a Horde twink guild premade. I honestly thought that they would put up a better fight. You can tell form the score that they focused on our hunter. There holy spec pallie didn’t get one heal off (because of a well placed kick, thank you).
Some days later we did have a premade going and came up against one of our favorite premades. This was the “Battle of the RP twink guilds!” which is always a fun game. One of our healers had never done a premade, this was his first, and Diem was back form 2 months of off time. We tossed them into the fray.
Just so that we know it wasn’t a fluke.
Oh... somewhere during all this I was chatting with a friend…
[Aed] We all have our problems. I have a patience problem, you have a killing problem, and SLS has a lazy problem.
[Me]…
[Me] Killing problem?
[Aed] hehe
This weekend is WSG weekend. So you know where to find me… me with my killing problem will meet you midfield.
Now that I have a Hunter friend I have someplace to send my Kibler’s Bits. I sent them to her by mail telling her they were for her kitty and thanked her for a recent run.
Well she didn’t know about the recipe. My favorite part was her wanting to KNOW how to get the recipe. That is a good hunter.
Ummmm…
Yea…she is such a sweetheart.
So I let her know that you get the recipe for the pet food from the daily cooking quest in Shatt. Just in case, I let her know I found out about it at BigRedKitty.net who has some great trapping and kiting movies. Good for a refresher if anything.
Are you suuurrre that all your hunters know about the buff pet food?
Come to think of it does this work for Druid type pets? I will have to ask.
Ratter commented on Aurum’s current attire. I dress for the season, from New Years to Valentines (it is just around the corner boys and girls) I am wearing my Tailor made by Hydra Tuxedo. A friend gave me a Red Rose and of course every party girl should have her own beer stein.
I went on a date with VanCleef. I know he has a sketchy past but you know… he said he had a gift for me and wanted to talk… I like presents. Blue Presents are one of my favorites.
Here I am arriving at VanCleef’s door.
Well it seems he wanted to have a hard hitting conversation. He even included others to get his point across. Trying to convince me how he had “turned a new leaf”.
I really wasn’t upfront with him. With his sordid past I was really dodgy with my answers. A girl needs to be careful about bring new men in her life.
I just couldn’t argue with him anymore. In the end I let him beat me down.
I had a feeling that this may happen. With a cooler head I thought to bring my own backup. To make sure I got my own point across. I also wanted my present! I was not leaving until I got what I wanted.
After 14 repeated discussions… VanCleef finally listened to what I wanted. ONE just ONE shirt is what I asked for…not a cloak or cloth shirt. The four Cruel Barbs are nice and I am very pleased. That was what I wanted last time we tried to have a relationship last year.
*sigh*
I do think we have to have a break form each other, I don’t think it will work out, we just don’t see eye to eye. (I am Gnome…well I laughed.)
Bug Fixes
· Using a castsequence macro on a target moving out of range will no longer cause it to stop working.
Thank goodness! I thought I was loosing my mind. Macros fixed FTW!
Talking about macros… I changed them again. I realized while farming trees (which are 71-72 elites) they are mini boss fights. So that gives me the opportunity to practice my Dot/Fear. I changed the cast order of DoTs. I shall repost once I have it to my liking.
Hydra’s PvP experience was (still is?) limited in Azeroth, with under 50 kills actually in
Azeroth.
But I do get called into a skirmish or two.
Minding my own business in Shattrath City I get in guild chat.
[G][Healadin] Hydra need you in STV.
Apparently while helping out a guildmate. Someone hit someone and hilarity ensued. And well Healadin, Tank, and lowbie Rogue (Sev) were being camped… Waiting for them all to rez… For the third time.
I was just standing around Shatt. Admiring all my stuff in
my bank, taking inventory, like my line of pretty Primals. So I hop myself to Booty
Bay.
You know what? They were still being camped. You know this is an RP PvE server right? Camping just doesn’t happen.
[Healadin] Hydra where are you?
[Me] Just south of you. Feel free to start. =)
I watch as our lowbie Rogue attempt to sap one. The Horde warrior starts pounding on My Tank. Horde Druid starts to do whatever it is a druid does.
I ride around the corner. Popping off my mount. Domora seduces horde Druid a$$ in place. I DoT up the Warrior.
At this point Horde Warrior realizing a Warlock is in their mists… swap target to me. Howl of Terror his fury, arms, protection whatever spec Warrior away from my dainty form.
Pull off a Fear and it actually sticks. He must not have those warrior talents to resist Fear effects or a PvP trinket. Yea me!
Reapply Seduce to Druid. “Stay right there. I will get to you in a minute.”
We grind the camping Horde into the ground in no time flat.
After bouncing on their Horde corpses for a bit… and yelling something about being owned by a girl.
[Me] So am I good to go?
[Healadin] Yep.
Head back to farming Primals. I think that Primal Mana stack is getting a bit low.
Remember…
Hydra doesn’t PvP.
So I was asked to a big raid...
[Me] Cool! Where too?
[Friend] Undercity.
[Me] Is that like a Caverns of Time thing?
[Friend] No THE Undercity. Lets go.
[Me] Well I can hop on my Horde and meet you there.
[Friend] No, Hydra gets to come.
...
So I took a late night visit to Undercity with a few dozen other people.
Once the VERY protective guards killed me... I paid my respects to Lady Sylvanas. I felt it was appropriate since she is the ruler of the Undead and all.
Fun was had all around.
[Yell] Clean up in the Royal Quarters!
