First I was here then I tried out there. There was not terrible. So there I am. I am still working out how it all works. Don’t stain the carpet so I don’t blow the deposit.
Future posts will now be on http://almostevil.blogspot.com/.
Something is telling me I should be going into LA today.
In-game friend reminded me that this was going on. I haven't been in a long while. I have attended the San Francisco and San Diego one also. They are always a hoot. Fantastic parties.
Then there is the fact that this other thing is going on. I was reminded about it off the radio. It has been a while since I attended that one. Well it is fascinating to say the least.
But I must be getting old. All I can think about is the long drive, gas prices, sitting in a hot car, and the money I was not really planning on spending. Both events are about 30 minutes from Pink's so that is also being taken in for consideration.
Starting now, husband and I are finally married longer than we were dating.
We asked “What do you want to do for your anniversary?” The both of us couldn’t really come up with a MUST do.
Husband went to give platelets this morning to the Red Cross, like he does every other week.
He came home with breakfast. I ate and watched him do some quick banking in the AH.
We decided to go to the beach and have lunch at BJ’s in Laguna Beach.
It was beautiful.
There was a sand sculpture contest going on and we got to watch a mother and daughter team in action. The right number of people were on the beach playing volleyball, throwing Frisbees, fishing, sunbathing, etc.
We visited my uncle’s shop to see if there was anything new. He made our wedding rings so it seemed appropriate to stop in and say hi.
BJ’s was delicious. Yummy deeeeeep dish pizza.
Talk was about everything and nothing.
At one point husband was complaining about the rocks. I told him he was “delicate”, which he didn’t deny. But does that make me “rough?” No, Husband said I was “abrasive.” I can see that. Like sandpaper, nice from afar but getting to close can hurt more than you think. =P
We spent hours down at the beach. It reminds me why we deal with all the icky things you have to deal with to live in Southern California (like $4.39 gas prices.)
So what do we have planned for tonight?
Raid!
My family and I had a very nice BBQ for Memorial Day.
Ribs
Beans
Corn
Asparagus
Hot Dogs (just because it isn’t Memorial Day without them)
… and Rice.
It would not be a family meal without rice.
We played game after game of bowling on my mom’s new Wii. Sis’ boyfriend loaded the Wii points my mom bought. Bubble Bobble was loaded immediately. The marathon level 1-100 game started for Husband and sis’ boyfriend. I will just like to say, as an expert strategist I was brought in to show them how to beat a few levels. =P
While chatting I find out from sis’ boyfriend that BlizzCon 2008 was announced. It will be sometime in October.
Before I even get a chance to look any information up… this morning I was talking to my Mother-in-law. I mention I need to talk to my sister-in-law about the convention since she is coming out to Southern California around that time. My mother-in-law tells me “Yea. BlizzCon is on October 10.”
WHAT!!
This is what I get for not putting useful information on my blog. I find out the date of BlizzCon from my mother-in-law.
The announcement went out two weeks ago. I must have been under a rock at the time or maybe a cavern under a big lake in Zangarmash.
I need to talk to friends and family and see who maybe going.
Ticket information to be announced in the coming weeks… if I find out about tickets sales two weeks after… someone will be death coiled. I will not care if they are innocent.
Dad? Hear me?... Thanks
Boyfriend of little sister, will you please email your Blizzard working brother. He maybe interested in what is going out on other blogs. No promises I know.
(Thanks Dammerung for putting the list together I am stealing
reposting it here.)

Oh and while you are at it… I hear something about Alpha testing WotLK. *hint hint*
See you all this weekend. I want another crack at Wii bowling. Okay you can go back studying.
Mom would tell the two of us. (Thought of this when BBBB
brought up Dr. Demento.)
I was in Color Guard in High School so Friday night football games were normal. I loved them because that was where I would tutor math and get my calculus homework done. (And my parents didn’t think I would graduate form HS *shrug* go figure.)
So we would get home about 10 pm at night and that is when Dr. Demento would play his top five. Mom would take my sleeping little sister into the house. Dad and I would sit in the car and listen to the radio. We would sing along with Fish Heads, Time Warp, and our all time favorite The Scotsman (found WoW versions). I cherish those memories.
<3
On another football note… those four years of going to football games I really never watched. Husband and I went out one night with a teacher friend and his wife. We started our night of games and chatting when he used a phrase I didn’t understand…
“Don’t take points off the board”
This started me on a “What’s that?” train of questioning.
He would start describing something and say “3rd of 4”
“What’s that?”
bla bla downs bla bla
“What’s that?”
Well bla penalty bla bla
“What’s that?”
This went on for a bout an hour. He even pulled out scratch paper and drew pictures for me.
It stopped when I asked “Why is it called a Safety?”
After all that…
The only thing I know is the reference has something to do with football.
He tried.
Happy birthday sister of mine. Enjoy your day. Love you and sorry I had to kill you the other day.
Well maybe only a little sorry. =P
My mom stopped by for a visit. It was, as always, a very
pleasant experience. We chatted and got caught up. Little sister is doing well.
She is getting some honor at College but the details were sparse… I will have
to get that update directly.
When the visit was done, we waved goodbye and separated our ways.
Then I get a call…
[Mom] I have your house key.
[Me] Well yea you do.
[Mom] No. Your house and car keys.
[Me] You stole my keys?
[Mom] I was wondering why my pocket felt so heavy. Then I pulled out my keys and yours.
Speaking of rogues... there was a nice crowd controlling entry done by Doomilias using a focus macro for sap and blind.
